What is an
Rotary E-club ?
What is the
Club's Focus?
Rotary is dedicated to seven areas of focus to build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world to support our peace efforts and end polio forever. Rotary eClub of District 7305 has chosen to focus on supporting education. Did you know more than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate? That’s 17 percent of the world’s adult population.
Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase education for all children and literacy for children and adults.
We take action to empower educators to inspire learning at all ages.

Rotary District 7305 E-Club goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.
Members of the club decided to support the non-profit organization, Pittsburgh Prison Book Project, based in Pittsburgh that sends reading and educational materials to prisoners across Pennsylvania. "We learned that your mindset can determine your actions; people who are incarcerated do have the opportunity to reenter society and thrive. Giving them access to education allows them mentally survive and have a chance for growth" shared Club President, Felicia Mycyk. Rotary eClub of District 7305 goal is to continue to support basic education and literacy by increasing education for all children and literacy for children and adults. Jodi Lincoln, Volunteer for Pittsburgh Prison Book Project said "we get almost all of the books we send out from donations. While the community is extremely supportive of our work and we get a ton of book donations from individuals, we often have no books for some of our most highly requested genres including trade books and legal resources. " "By purchasing a large number of books off of our wishlist, the Rotary District 7305 is putting extremely important books on our shelves. They'll fly off our shelves and I can't wait to send them out to the people who need them" added Lincoln. Learn more about Pittsburgh Prison Book Project http://pghprisonbookproject.org/ |
